Trefeglwys is the smallest of the green villages, and the focal point is the school and community centre area in the middle of the village. Both buildings were built fairly recently, and have good energy efficiency, and the focus here has been on incorporating renewable energy into the village.
Funding from the green villages programme has been set aside for development of solar panels at the school which will cut annual fuel bills and will be an important educational resource.
We are currently waiting to see whether our application for funding from the DTI solar demonstration programme has been successful. If our application is approved, work will be undertaken by Dulas Ltd, the successful tender company for the installation.
